Heart of Stone

When Lucien proposes to Tranns and she soundly rejects him, the fight rocks the whole House.  After Lucien confides to Adriana that he would leave Tranns if not for their baby on the way, an unexpected twist in probabilities leads Ariadne to start having vivid nightmares.  In one of them, she encounters a world where Aden's magic addiction was never caught in time.  Mia's death led him to go insane, take over the Ebene, and turn Philip evil to serve as his lieutenant, alongside Milady.  In this world, Shaldani and the realm is in dire straits, the Phoenix Fighters are barely surviving, and Lucien is dead.

Adriana, leading the Phoenix Fighters by herself, finds Casey and Ariadne in her office.  Casey is a nervous wreck, coming with news that a stone statue of a demon called Armos, who ravaged Hyrule thousands of years ago before being defeated by a Hero, has recently been stolen from a Hylian museum.  She warns that if the petrified demon is restored, his very breath will destroy all non-demonoid life in the realm, including the Ebene.  They suspect Aden is behind it.  Meanwhile, at the Ebene stronghold, Aden calls Milady and Philip to his throne room where he reveals a crate.  Inside of the crate is an enormous rock and concealed within the rock is Armos with a sword through the heart.  Aden intends to release Armos, claiming that he wants to make the Phoenix Fighters battle it.  Only Philip realizes that Armos will destroy the world.

Aden is unsuccessful in waking Armos.  Despite Philip's mocking, Aden decides to have Milady kidnap Tranns in order to learn more about the proper Hylian ritual for waking Armos.  While Milady successfully kidnaps Tranns, however, Philip decides to take matters into his own hands.  He goes to the Phoenix House and meets with Adriana, Casey, and Ariadne.  Philip tells them that he has no desire to see an end to the world and wants to team up with them to stop Aden.  The Phoenix Fighters are reluctant to trust Philip, but eventually agree.  He suggests that they attempt to lure Aden out of the Ebene stronghold with a faked surrender.  Casey gives Adriana a suit of bioarmor to protect her.

Back at the stronghold, Aden and Milady torture Tranns, trying to get whatever information she has on the Armos ritual.  Tranns utterly refuses to cooperate so Aden knocks her out and creates a Kobiashee Maru link between her and Milady, in which Milady takes on the appearance of Amanda and Lucien. After a lot of emotional wrangling, Tranns falls for the deception and inadvertantly tells them how to perform the Armos ritual using Aden's own blood to remove the sword and reawaken Armos.

Philip, Adriana, and Ariadne return to the stronghold, where Aden is preparing to complete the ritual and end the world.  Adriana and Ariadne trick a footsoldier into thinking they've come to surrender.  Aden allows them to come into his throne room, determined to make them watch as he wakes Armos and ends the world.  Ariadne, however, takes out Aden's guards while Philip disables Milady.  Aden makes a break for the statue, but Adriana is hot on his trail.  The two of them begin exchanging blows.  As the two of them engage, Philip destroys Armos.  Adriana gets the upper hand and drains all of the magic out of Aden.  Then, Ariadne wakes up, screaming.
